Style with Soph: Autumn Romance

 Hello everyone!
The weather has cooled down quite a bit here and I’m slowly coming to terms with the fact that I’ll have to put my tank tops and shorts into storage soon and get the knits and coats out. On a brighter note, I’ll be able to wear my boots out! Boots (and booties) have gotta be my favourite type of footwear!
I’ve created a simple outfit that reflects how I usually like to dress during Autumn, plus one or two accessories to up the style factor :)
Autumn Romance
Comfort is right at the top of my list when selecting an outfit, so I’ve chosen a simple cream coloured knit top to go with my dark wash denim jeans. As you all know, I can’t live without pastels so I’ve sneaked in a mint scarf with peach and brown prints to brighten up the plain top.
I’m a big fan of tan/camel accessories over black, especially during Autumn since it’s not quite that dreary yet, so I’ve selected a pretty fringe cross-body bag and a pair of tan booties to go with it. If any of you follow me on Pinterest you’d see that my Bohemian board is ridiculously large and is pretty much the fastest growing board out of them all haha. I’m obsessed with Bohemian looks even though I personally don’t sport it often, but this bag is a perfect combination of Bohemian and practicality for me :)
I like to keep everything simple so the watch isn’t anything particularly exciting, I picked it for its white belt to go with my knit top. As for nails, I almost always go with nude shades for Autumn.
Since this is a simple outfit, I would use the Tarte Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Eyeshadow Palette to create a neutral eye make up look and then complete the look with a rich wine coloured lipstick. If I’m feeling dressier, the wine floppy hat would make a good match with my lips!
What are your favourite outfits and makeup looks for Autumn?

Style with Soph: Spring back to life

So it seems like summer in Australia has abruptly ended – the mornings and evenings have gotten pretty chilly and the days are starting to get shorter :(
I’ve not had enough of my warm days and was reminiscing all about Spring and Summer while surfing outfit ideas. Since many of you are in the northern hemisphere where everything is starting to come back to life for the lovely Spring, I thought I’d share a Spring day outfit I put together :)
Spring outfit
I’m someone who loves pastel colours A LOT. I love how this mint skirt with a bright pineapple prints just scream Spring. I matched it with a simple white textured top to give it a bit of a twist, and white strappy heels. Since I’ve got pineapple prints, I thought I’d go with a woven tote to add to the spring/summery feel. The woven floppy hat also goes with the bag and is so necessary to shield you from the sun even though it will be oh-so-glorious outside.
I pretty much wear pastel colours on my nails throughout spring and summer, so I’ve chosen a nice pale pink nail colour by Essie to go with the mint skirt. For the face, I would like my eye make up to be light so I think the Too Faced Natural Eye Palette would be perfect to achieve the look. For a pop of colour, I’ve chosen the MAC Matte Lipstick in Pink Pigeon for the lips. As for fragrance, I absolutely adore the Daisy range of scents by Marc Jacobs and chose Daisy Dream to go with this outfit :)
So there you have it – my Spring outfit that I won’t be able to wear for another 6-7 months here!
What would you be wearing this Spring? Have you got any items that are going to be staples in your Spring wardrobe? Please share them with me in the comment box below, I’d love to know!
