Style with Soph: Spring back to life

So it seems like summer in Australia has abruptly ended – the mornings and evenings have gotten pretty chilly and the days are starting to get shorter :(
I’ve not had enough of my warm days and was reminiscing all about Spring and Summer while surfing outfit ideas. Since many of you are in the northern hemisphere where everything is starting to come back to life for the lovely Spring, I thought I’d share a Spring day outfit I put together :)
Spring outfit
I’m someone who loves pastel colours A LOT. I love how this mint skirt with a bright pineapple prints just scream Spring. I matched it with a simple white textured top to give it a bit of a twist, and white strappy heels. Since I’ve got pineapple prints, I thought I’d go with a woven tote to add to the spring/summery feel. The woven floppy hat also goes with the bag and is so necessary to shield you from the sun even though it will be oh-so-glorious outside.
I pretty much wear pastel colours on my nails throughout spring and summer, so I’ve chosen a nice pale pink nail colour by Essie to go with the mint skirt. For the face, I would like my eye make up to be light so I think the Too Faced Natural Eye Palette would be perfect to achieve the look. For a pop of colour, I’ve chosen the MAC Matte Lipstick in Pink Pigeon for the lips. As for fragrance, I absolutely adore the Daisy range of scents by Marc Jacobs and chose Daisy Dream to go with this outfit :)
So there you have it – my Spring outfit that I won’t be able to wear for another 6-7 months here!
What would you be wearing this Spring? Have you got any items that are going to be staples in your Spring wardrobe? Please share them with me in the comment box below, I’d love to know!

That is such a beautiful combination… all of it!
The lipstick and the palette would look so beautiful together and then that skirt, oh my!
I just love that look, screaming spring, so beautiful!

I honestly can’t wait for warmer weather – just the fact that I can bust out my dresses again is enough for me. :D

    xx

Thanks Dora! I don’t own that palette yet but it’s on my wishlist. Warmer days are coming to you really soon! I’m missing the warm days and kinda dreading the cold winter (although it’s really not that cold in Australia) but looking forward to it at the same time. ah I’m such a confusion ahha :P

Love the outfit combination, although I’m not a fan of woven bags :p the Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette has been in my wishlist since forever. Need to get it!

Hehe thanks hun! Ooh ikr, I’m trying to decide between that and the Chocolate Bar Palette too. But tbh I don’t use that eyeshadow that often so I’m not going to get much use out of either one :(

Love the inspiration Spring post :) I definitely love the Essie nail polish shade you’ve chosen :) I’m also digging the white crop top with jewels – that definitely screams out Spring weather! Great choices!

Thanks Jan! I might actually go get a pale peach/pink nail polish because I realised I don’t have one! I’ve got pastel blue and lilac and nude but somehow no pale pink >< Missing Spring now it's getting so chilly over here

I just bought an Essie nail polish (tsk tsk me lol). I got the shade Take It Outside (pale grey-ish colour) and Not Just A Pretty Face (nude-y pink) :) I also have Fiji in my existing collection. That’s a pretty shade of pink :) xx

      • hunnybunnysoph says:

Fiji is so beautiful!! I absolutely adore that shade! You should do a manicure post with the two new colours you bought! I’d love to see how they look applied on the nails :)

Lol. For a second, I thought you were talking about the island. I have THE worst memory. But then I continued reading :) I’ll be wearing the Take It Outside on Sunday for a wedding with pretty rose gold glitter :) thank you for the suggestion. I’ll make sure I post it up and the other colour! xx

Thanks Vivienne! Hehe hats do jazz up an outfit and they come in soo many shapes and colours! I would have a massive hat collection if I had the space to store them all! Haha! :D Thanks for stopping by!! <3
